The Academy says, quote, "Due to the nature of a live show, hard decisions sometimes must be made which require the Academy to cut segments due to the logistics of production." Even though it wasn't Garfield's fault, he made it right by going to Disneyland WITH Batkid and his family the following day. Batkid's mother says they were informed of the change the morning of the show . . . quote, "I don't know if they ran out of time, or If there was something about the segment they didn't like. "It got pulled so quickly that we didn't have a lot of insight into what was going on."
Yesterday we told you about an Oscar situation where actor Andrew Garfield supposedly went premadonna and ruined a segment with the Batkid. Well....The "New York Post" apparently had its facts messed up. ANDREW GARFIELD is NOT the villain of the Batkid / Oscar story. He's the HERO. Turns out it wasn't Garfield's fault that the segment in which he makes Batkid an honorary superhero was cut from the show.
