The four young children of NFL quarterback Drew Brees are excited about his retirement so that he can honestly "spend more time with his family." It's an-oft repeated cliche, but not for Brees and his kids.
The New Orleans Saints veteran spent 20 years in the NFL. Brees wrote on Sunday at his Instagram account (quote) "I am only retiring from playing football, I am not retiring from New Orleans. This is not goodbye, rather a new beginning. Now my real life‘s work begins!"
The team replied on Twitter with gratitude for his commitment to New Orleans shortly after Hurricane Katrina's devastation in 2005.
