Rock The South 2018: Day 1

Rock The South 2018 day one has come and gone, and man, what a party it was! The short rain showers and occasional muddy spots didn't stop the crowd from having a rockin' time.

Check out all of the fun that was had below at the #BiggestPartyInTheSouth!

Major Tom arrived at the crack of dawn and gave us all sorts of sneak peeks behind the scenes of what goes on in the early morning hours.

From the first light of the day shining on the VIP seats, Thomas Rhett's soundcheck, to what the artists are eating for breakfast, he captured it all on his Twitter and on The Bull's Facebook page.

And he didn't stop there! Major Tom also showed us the view from the best seats in the house, what goes into preparing the grounds for the storms, and our personal favorite preview, he visited the backstage barbershop for a trim.

Because after all, Rock The South has thought of everything for both the artists and the attendees.

Due to the weather in the area, gates we're delayed opening from noon to 1:10 p.m. But shortly after, concert goers flooded the area and were ready for a good time as the entertainment kicked off.

First up was Dalton and the Sheriffs followed by Josh Miranda, Kirstie Lovelady, and Channing Wilson.

Check out the view we got from Front Porch Seating during Kirstie's set! If you're already thinking about next year, this area includes an exclusive, covered VIP experience sitting high above the fans right in front of the stage with complimentary food and alcohol.

Next up was up-and-coming country artist Dylan Schneider who sported a University of Alabama football jersey during his performance.

And one of our favorite female country artists, Lauren Alaina, took the stage next. May we say she rocked it despite the light rain shower during her set.

Then, Brett Young gave us all the feels with his performances at Rock The South. From Mercy to In Case You Didn't Know, the crowd was singing right along with him.

To close out the night, Thomas Rhett gave us everything and more for a solid hour and a half. Let me tell you - it truly felt like the #BiggestPartyInTheSouth!

And it wouldn't be right if we didn't talk about Chad - the guest Thomas Rhett brought up on stage to help sing Garth BrooksFriends In Low PlacesChad, if you're out there, can we be friends?

What a night we had. Can't wait for day two with Marshall Tucker Band, Riley Green, Hank Williams Jr., Eric Church and many more!
