Zac Efron Looks Totally Insane As Ted Bundy In New Movie: Watch A Clip

Zac Efron is barely recognizable in his new Netflix film.

In the upcoming biographical crime thriller Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, the High School Musical alum stars as notorious serial killer Ted Bundy. While the film is perceived through the eyes of Bundy's longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer (played by Lily Collins), who must come to terms with her boyfriend's wicked deeds, Efron looks as convincing as ever as the cold-blooded madman who was accused of committing a string of murders during the 1970s.

In a new bonus clip from the motion picture, set to release on Netflix later this year, Ted finds himself playing the sympathetic villain while inside a diner with Elizabeth, whose probing inquisitions about her boyfriend's involvement in an investigation leaves her suspicious and Ted paranoid of his trial ahead.

Ted reveals to her that he believes he's being framed for crimes (murders) he did not commit, adding that Ted the authorities had shown a victim a photo of him not once, but twice before she picked him out of a police lineup. "Either I'm going crazy, or I'm being set up," he says. Still confused, Elizabeth does not seem to quite understand why the police are tailing after her charismatic, good-looking boyfriend, despite the mounting evidence against him.
