Nick Mullens, who went to Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama and was the 3rd string QB for the San Francisco 49ers got to start his first NFL game last night for his team after the 2nd string QB C.J. Beathard got hurt.
WOW, did he shine!!! Not only did the 49ers win 34-3, but his numbers were insane!
His quarterback passer rating of a 151.9 was the best by a QB making his debut with at least 20 attempts since 1970!
He is the first player since Carson Wentz to throw a TD in his first career game on the team's opening drive!
He joins only 2 other QB's (from the 60's) to throw for 250 plus yards , three-plus touchdowns and no interceptions in his debut!
And his previously unverified twitter account was verified with a pretty blue check mark during the game!
He said after the game "I just want to talk to my friends back in Birmingham."
