The"New York Post" says ESPN is trying to get PEYTON MANNING to join"Monday Night Football"after JASON WITTEN decided to quit and go back to the Dallas Cowboys.
Supposedly, they'd be willing to offer Manning MORE than the $6.5 million a year that Jon Gruden was making before he left . . . but that might not be enough. Sources say Manning doesn't want to get into broadcasting at this point.
Other candidates include: Kurt Warner,Jesse Palmer,Louis Riddick, and Matt Hasselbeck. . . but they might opt to just continue without a replacement.
