R. Kelly’s problems are growing by the hour.
Wednesday morning started with the airing of an emotional TV interview that got lots of attention but did little to sway public opinion toward him. A few hours later, he was taken into custody after a hearing over unpaid child support to the tune of over $160,000. He apparently offered to pay a portion, but the judge wasn’t taking anything short of the full sum.
Then, around 10:30 pm, Detroit police confirmed that they have learned of a new victim. Chicago PD says they are in touch with a woman who was 13 years old when, she alleges, Kelly abused her in Detroit back in 2001. The alleged victim, who is now 30 years old, claims her relationship with the singer lasted at least four years, and resulted in her getting herpes
