Rascal Flatts has issued a statement on Twitter regarding the restaurant chain they'd lent their name to.
The developer of the projects allegedly has ties to organized crime, and may have been skimming money from them. Though one Rascal Flatts restaurant opened in Connecticut, it closed within a year. Others have either folded before opening or never gotten off the ground, leaving behind a trail of unpaid bills.
The band had no involvement with the development or building of the eateries. They only had licensed their name to the owner.
