Head to EquifaxBreachSettlement.com. You provide your last name and the last six digits of your Social Security Number, and learn whether your information was compromised.
If it was compromised, you can then choose between a cash settlement and multiple years of free credit monitoring. And if you spent time or money fixing things caused by identity theft, you might be eligible for even more money.
On Monday, Equifax agreed to pay up to $700 million total to settle claims.
