Doctors removed from a 7-year-old boy more than 500 teeth.
He complained of soreness in the jaw. His parents feared he had cancer. They took him to the Saveetha Dental College in the southern region of India. Doctors X-rayed his mouth and discovered similar to a shark’s.
Two doctors needed five hours of oral surgery to remove the 527 “abnormal teeth,” leaving the child with 21 ordinary human teeth.
One of the surgeons said (quote) “Biopsy results showed it was just abnormal growth. There could be a strong genetic connect, but we cannot rule out environmental factors such as radiation from mobile phone towers.”
