3 major NFL qb's are out in just week 2 of the regular season

Atlanta Falcons v New Orleans Saints

We've now lost three Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks in the first two weeks of NFL action.

New Orleans Saints quarterback DREW BREES needs thumb surgery and will be out for roughly six weeks. And BEN ROETHLISBERGER of the Pittsburgh Steelers has a nasty elbow injury that will keep him out the WHOLE SEASON.

This comes just one week after Jacksonville Jaguars QB NICK FOLES broke his collarbone. He'll be out until mid-November.

And speaking of Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks, there's a lot of talk thatELI MANNING might be forced off the field . . . but in his case, it's not because he's injured . . . it's because, well, he's just been bad.

For what it's worth, Foles is only 30 . . . but Manning is 38, and Brees is 40.

Roethlisberger is 37, and he just signed a 3 year deal in the off-season. He said he was "shocked" by the severity of his injury and vowed to return stronger next year to honor his full contract.
