Do you have emergency alerts turned on for your cell phone? If not, you may want to now, thanks to a new feature being introduced by the National Weather Service. The new warnings will reflect the intensity of storms and the damage they may cause. You'll now be able to get alerts if there is a tornado warning or a really severe thunderstorm. It's easy to set up your phone so that you can receive these warnings. Just go into the settings menu on your smartphone > notifications, and then make sure your Emergency Alerts are turned on.
