Sources say jealousy played a big role in the breakdown of Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s marriage. Well, now a source adds that lack of trust was also a big issue.
“She could no longer trust Brandon, and she felt that Brandon was just using her for her money and lifestyle,” an insider tells “Us Weekly.” “She had tremendous resentment toward him. She just wasn’t willing to look the other way anymore.”
The source adds that the relationship brought Kelly a lot of “pain,” noting, “The marriage was really, really awful at the end. She had a lot of questions that he just couldn’t answer.”
Meanwhile, insiders tell Entertainment Tonight that Kelly is "ready to put her marriage behind her and move on from her ex." They note she is “thankful for her relationship with Brandon, she learned a lot about herself and had two perfect kids," but adds she "is looking forward to moving on and successfully co-parenting with Brandon." Kelly is said to be happy her prenup was upheld, but isn’t thrilled she right now has to pay Brandon child and spousal support, but the insider say she hopes “once the divorce is finalized that amount will be lowered.”
