Taylor Swift is going to the movies this summer -- on the soundtrack of a new mystery-romance called Where the Crawdads Sing.
The film, which is due in July, follows a young girl who's abandoned by her family and ends up accused of murdering a man who sexually pursued her. Tay has contributed a song called "Carolina," which she discussed on social media: “Where the Crawdads Sing is a book I got absolutely lost in when I read it years ago. As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the incredible @daisyedgarjones and produced by the brilliant @reesewitherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side.”
Taylor has plenty of experience in the movie game, having contributed to soundtracks for the Hunger Games franchise, Valentine’s Day, One Chance and Fifty Shades Darker.
