Season 1 of The Ultimatum wrapped a few weeks ago, but we’re still not over it … and now, as more time goes on, more and more secrets about the show are coming out. One of the craziest things we’ve learned is how they found the cast for the show. Instead of casting calls, The Ultimatum found their people through social media. Yep, someone just randomly DM-ed the couples asking if they wanted to be part of a show that’s about couples looking to get married. The show was referred to as “The Awesome Couples Project” up until filming started … and that’s when everything changed. No one was told they’d be dating each other’s partners until it was basically too late to back out. Yikes. That’s a little too sneaky of Nick and Vanessa, don’t you think?
