The slowest fast-food drive-thru … The fast-food drive-thru may be convenient, but it's not always as fast as you'd like it to be. Long lines and customizable orders have slowed the line down considerably, and the fast-food chain with the slowest drive-thru experience is Chick-fil-A. A new study of the 10 largest U.S. fast food chains found that the average wait time at the Chick-fil-A drive-thru is 8 minutes and 29 seconds. Its competitor, KFC, has the fastest drive-thru with an average time of 5 minutes and 2 seconds. But there is one caveat to the findings. Chick-fil-A has more cars in its drive-thru line than any other fast-food restaurant, due to its popularity. The study also looked at order accuracy and found that McDonald's and Arby's get the order correct 89% of the time, which tops the list. Wendy's was last with 79% accuracy.
