Carlee Russell called 911 on Thursday night telling the operator there was a kid walking on 1-459 in Hoover, Alabama wearing only a t shirt and a diaper. She then called a family friend while she went back to look for the child to see if she could help. The friend heard Carlee ask someone if they were OK and then heard a scream before the line went blank. When police arrived they found Carlee's car abandoned along with her cell phone, wig and other personal belongings. The next 48 hours are a mystery. Was Carlee abducted? Who took her? Where is the child that was walking on the highway? So many questions have surfaced since Carlee returned home on foot on Saturday night. We are so thankful that she's home and ok! But many people have been speculating that the whole thing was a hoax or that she was never taken in the first place. Well Carlee's parents have spoken out in their first TV interview with the Today Show. They do say there was an abductor and that Carlee had to fight for her life.
